May 24, 2006

camera.gifIn our continuing efforts to get people to turn off their computers and get back into the 3d world, today we focus (excuse the pun but you'll get it in about 3 seconds) on Linatree's invitation to download, print, cut and build your own pinhole camera.

THE BRAD PITT LIGHT ORCHESTRA

May 9, 2006

Not that I ever really needed much encouragement to blow my own trumpet, but I was pleasantly surprised with the results of my first foray as a snapper. Dublin played host to Limericks finest recently in Slatteries of Capel Street. I went along to the "Brad Pitt Light Orchestra" and brought herself's camera and then used the pics as a test bed to play around with I-Photo and man do i love it when software makes me look good. Check out the pics.

MAC ATTACK!

May 9, 2006

adrestarting20060501.jpgYes the software is more intuative, 50 times easier to use and simple simple simple and yes Jobs has finally woken up to the ubiquity issue that destined Mac to the specialists and made Wintel PC's the global standard and yes Mac is still playing the stylish little David against Gates' Goliath and yes Apple are still making flipping brilliant ads.

FIND OF THE FREAKIN YEAR BABY!

May 3, 2006

yes, strolling through Easons the other day I Came across a magazine called "Adbusters", FREAKIN BRILLIANT.
Exactly what Wired used to be 400 years ago before they sold their soul to geekdom and silicon valley.
I'll let them speak for themselves

"We are a global network of artists, activists, writers, pranksters, students, educators and entrepreneurs who want to advance the new social activist movement of the information age. Our aim is to topple existing power structures and forge a major shift in the way we will live in the 21st century.

To this end, Adbusters Media Foundation publishes Adbusters magazine, operates this website and offers its creative services through PowerShift, our advocacy advertising agency."

ALL ABOARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You have just witnessed a BLOG FREE MONTH

May 3, 2006

there you have it one whole month with out a blog entry. This was intentional, an attempt to express my solidarity with the voiceless/blogless of this world, an expression or non expression of our need for space, freedom from deadlines and  the pressures of modern existence, the goal driven, time driven rush of this spinning planet…not convinced? Me neither :O), but it beats the 410,000,000 blog entries that start with "gosh I havent written in so long".
